Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital has been an active participant in the health of Dixon and our surrounding communities for more than 110 years. Though the past century has seen many upgrades to our building and our technology, our commitment to superior care has remained our primary focus.

KSB Hospital is an 80-bed acute care facility offering a variety of ancillary services, providing numerous programs that reflect our desire to promote the overall health and wellness of our patients. Physician services are available at eight convenient locations. (See Locations Link above)

In an effort to ensure patient safety and public trust, anyone can inquire about our staffing levels and staff competence by calling (815) 288-5531 to make an appointment with the Chief Nursing Officer. All questions will be answered in accordance with the 2004 Illinois Hospital Report Card Act.

Community Resource Guide

The Community Resource Guide is a collaborative effort between the University of Illinois National Center for Rural Health Professions at Rockford, Illinois and KSB Hospital through their summer preceptor program. The purpose of the guide is to provide local service agencies with a comprehensive resource list.

Local agencies can use this guide if referrals need to be made for other services. The information should be made available for all people living in Carroll, Lee, Ogle, and Whiteside counties.
