Temporary Visitor Restriction

Due to the high levels of the pertussis/whooping cough illness occuring in our community, KSB Hospital has issued a TEMPORARY VISITOR RESTRICTION until further notice.

favorite Where to Give

Health is personal and individual, an intimate part of who each one of us is.  So is charitable giving. You can support a KSB hospital program, modernization or building project—all of which ultimately help your community. But the choice of where to give is completely yours to make.

As a not-for-profit organization, KSB Hospital relies on charitable gifts to improve access and quality of care, and to help foster healthier communities. Likewise, KSB is committed to philanthropy and absorbs all administrative costs so that 100 percent of your gift benefits the fund you select.

Please select from the options below to learn more about giving opportunities and where your support is needed.

Pediatric Center of Excellence

More than one in six U.S. children under the age of 18 are estimated to have a developmental disability or mental health problem that may make them struggle academically or socially. This may possibly put them at risk for medical complications and behavior disorders. Your gifts will help parents and primary care providers work together to identify developmental, socio-emotional and mental health risks or delays in infants, toddlers, and young children as early as possible in order to intervene early and ensure the best outcomes.

Community Health Fund

KSB is dedicated to meeting the health needs of its patients and the communities it serves. Your support of the Community Health Fund will allow the hospital to bring health and wellness programs to the Lovett Wellness Center and to the Sauk Valley area. Topics and program to be addressed will vary but will focus primarily on the Community Health Needs Assessment which indicated the prevalence of obesity and inactivity in children and adults, diabetes epidemic and food insecurity.  Whether we’re offering free health screenings or helping local residents manage chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes, KSB Hospital relies on your help to invest in the health of our neighborhoods.

President’s Fund for Special Needs

The President’s Fund provides critical resources to address immediate needs and to support new programs that enhance the quality of care and patient experience. Gifts to this fund allow the flexibility to respond quickly to important new requests and ideas as they arise.

Excellence in Nursing

KSB nurses treat patients as individuals, skillfully and compassionately. The Excellence in Nursing Fund helps our nurses enhance standards of care and build knowledge through ongoing education and professional development, which allows us to continue our efforts to improve patient care. Charitable support helps cover the cost of specialized skills training, travel to conferences and required classes for advanced degrees.

Palliative Care

The Palliative Care Program provides expert pain and symptom management for end-of-life patients. Specially trained nurses help create customized treatment plans—which may include an increase in pain medication, massage and Reiki therapy, or a bedside manicure. Philanthropy helps cover the costs of training nurses, as well as many of the resources needed to deliver comfort care.

Patient Education/Navigation

Our Patient Health Navigators monitor, oversee and motivate patients throughout their health care journey. Your gifts will help the hospital fund navigator positions and provide them with the tools they need to coordinate care, allowing the patients to focus on their health.
