Our knowledgeable and skilled specialists have made it possible for 98% of our heart patients to receive local care.

Cath Lab

The Cardiovascular Services Lab at KSB first opened its doors in 2006 and since then patients have taken advantage of the extensive cardiac care available in our community. Our state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization technology supports efficient cardiac and vascular diagnostics and our experienced physicians conduct nearly 800 catheterizations each year.

In addition to providing cardiac diagnostic angiograms and interventions, the KSB Cardiovascular Lab also offers peripheral diagnostic angiograms and interventions.

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac Rehabilitation programs combine cardiovascular conditioning exercise with education and counseling in order to make lifestyle changes necessary to reduce the risk of heart disease or slow its progression. Any time a patient has undergone a cardiac intervention, whether it is an angioplasty or open-heart surgery, several weeks of rehabilitation are recommended.

Benefits of Cardiac Rehabilitation Include:

  • Improve physical, heart, and vascular function
  • Improve strength and stamina
  • Return to work or normal activities quicker
  • Reduce your chances of having a heart attack or stroke
  • Reduce Hospitalizations

KSB’s Cardiac Rehab Department boasts modern facilities and equipment to help patients on their road to recovery. Located on the third floor of our Commerce Towers clinic, patients will work with our experienced staff consisting of registered nurses and technicians throughout their recovery process.

Do I need a referral?

Many of our cardiology procedures at KSB require a referral from your primary care provider. If you are experiencing signs or symptoms like chest discomfort, shortness of breath, nausea, dizziness or lightheadedness, please talk with your primary care provider regarding cardiac care.
