Telepsychiatry

KSB is proud to offer the latest technology in Mental Health services. Our telepsychiatry technology allows increased access to mental health services through experienced Psychiatrists.

How Does Telepsychiatry Services Work?

This advanced technology is similar to video conferencing with special attention to confidentiality. You will be in a private room with a computer and video camera, while your psychiatrist will be in a private room off-site with the same type of equipment. You and your psychiatrist will be able to see and speak to one another, as one of our on-site clinical staff members remains in the room to provide support.

How is Telepsychiatry Different Than Seeing a Regular Psychiatrist?

There is very little difference. The only difference is not physically being in the same room together. This technology allows your psychiatrist to have access to your medical record and to make recommendations based on that information. Following your assessment, medications can be recommended and prescribed.
