KSB Welcomes Pediatrician, Dr. Pragnesh Mistry
KSB Medical Group is pleased to welcome the addition of pediatrician, Pragnesh Mistry, MD. Dr. Mistry earned his medical degree from Pramukhswami Medical College and completed his pediatric residency at St. Joseph’s Regional Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey. For the past three years, Dr. Mistry has provided exceptional care as the attending physician at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston, West Virginia.
Dr. Mistry is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics. An experienced Primary Care Physician, Dr. Mistry provides a wide range of healthcare services, from well-child checks and immunizations to treatments for many injuries and illnesses. Dr. Mistry is also skilled in providing ADHD management care to children and adolescents.
KSB Hospital recognizes that great relationships help drive great patient experiences for children and families in the Sauk Valley. KSB Pediatrics is confident that Dr. Mistry will be an excellent addition to our team, and will continue to build upon the strong relationships for which our pediatrics department is known.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome Dr. Mistry to our staff. We have worked very hard at finding the right pediatrician to fit into our practice, and I know that Dr. Mistry is that Physician,” noted Dr. Pratip Nag, Pediatrician and Chief Medical Officer of KSB Hospital.
Dr. Mistry will be working closely alongside Dr. Nag over the next few months as he transitions to a more extensive role as KSB’s Chief Medical Officer. While Dr. Nag will still have a strong presence in the Pediatrics Department, he will be taking a step back from patient care and devoting more of his time to the behind-the-scenes efforts as we work to establish the KSB Pediatric Center of Excellence.
As announced in October 2017, KSB is the recipient of a three year, $957,300 grant from the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA). The three-year project will focus on the development of a Patient-Centered Medical Home for all children, birth to 18 years of age, including those with special health care needs. The project will enable expanded access to a broad range of healthcare services, contributing to better health outcomes, and improving the overall health of the community through additional primary care services and care coordination.
The Pediatric Center of Excellence is expected to open in May at KSB’s current Edwards Clinic practice located at 144 North Court in Dixon. To make an appointment with the KSB Pediatrics Department, please call (815)285-8529.
