KSB Hospital will be offering a BLS/HS instructor course on Wednesday May 24, 2017 from 0800-1630 in Conference Room 1. Prior to registration you must contact Teresa Strum at 815-285-7859 or email tstrum@ksbhospital.com.

  • Instructor candidates must be proficient in all the skill of the disciplines they will teach.
  • In addition, be able to manage time, space, material, and paperwork, in compliance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
  • Maintain the high standards of ethics and professionalism when teaching AHA courses.

You will need to provide a copy of your current CPR card for the discipline that you wish to become an instructor in. Once this has been received you will be provided with an application and supporting documents. The $150.00 class fee is due when Instructor Candidate Application form is submitted. No refunds for the class fee. Deadline for registration is April 21, 2017. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Teresa at 815-285-7859.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials; do not represent income to the Association.
