It can be helpful to have a copy of your own medical records if you’re moving away from the area or seeing a new physician for the first time.
We take patient privacy very seriously and because of that, we employ a number of security measures before releasing any medical information. You can request your own records in person or request that your doctor’s office request your records. You may also request another person’s records; for example, for your child or if you have medical power of attorney.
Because of the complexity of privacy rules and regulations, the only way to be sure you can request copies is to call and speak with a member of our knowledgeable staff.
Call 815-288-5531 and ask for a Medical Records clerk to request records or ask questions about your privacy rights.
